Information Science Lab, CEMSE, KAUST bids farewell to Dr. Vijith Varma Kotte, who recently defended his PhD dissertation in Electrical and Computer Engineering at #KAUST under the supervision of Prof. Tareq Al-Naffouri.

During his time at #ISL, Vijith made impactful contributions in the areas of FMCW radar signal processing in automotive, non-contact biomedical monitoring, and THz communication. His research focused on enabling smart sensing systems through AI-driven signal processing techniques, with real-world applications in health, automotive, and next-generation wireless systems.

Dr. Vijith’s work resulted in 4+ publications in top-tier journals and #IEEE conferences, along with collaborative projects on MIMO radar imaging, and near-field classification. His dedication, curiosity, and collaborative nature have greatly enriched our lab environment.

We are proud to share that Dr. Vijith will soon be joining the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Tokyo, Japan, as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where he will continue to advance research at the intersection of radar sensing and AI.

We thank Vijith for his valuable contributions and wish him continued success in his academic journey!
